More Than Just A Men's Group

Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Introducing:

Grips for God

Welcome to Grips for God. We are a Jiu-Jitsu group that is located in Camdenton, MO, at Lake of the Ozarks. G4G is a fellowship of Christian brothers and sisters from different denominations and affiliations who come together in our pursuit of becoming honorable men and women on and off the mat.

This website is a tool to organize our efforts as an outreach for Christ. Feel free to post, invite, or critique it so we can look back effectively at our growth as brothers on and off the mat. God bless, and let’s ✝️rain.

God has gifted us with Jiu-Jitsu and more importantly each other. Let us not forget to give praise to the Giver and not the gift.
Today there is not a time that I step on the mat that I don’t bow and thank God for it.

Reduce stress & improve your physical condition.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu helps improve your reflexes, offers many health benefits, and encourages healthy eating.

Our Value:

Holding on to the ways of God in our hearts, homes, and communities.

OUR MISSION

Grips for God uses Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as an outreach for Christ to promote healthy inward and outward strength as we become warriors for Christ. When we are mature in our faith, we build endurance for His purpose. Coming together from different Jiu-Jitsu schools and denominations is an example of peace under the Lordship of Christ. Bringing Christians together as possessions of Christ in fellowship for His glory and His will.

Rival – “one of two or more striving to reach or obtain something that only one can possess.” How can we truly be rivals if we are possessions of Christ?

1 Corinthians 6:20 ERV: “God paid a very high price to make you his. So honor God with your body.”

Christian Unity does not depend on Institutional unity.

Ephesians 4:2-6 ERV
“2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient and accept each other with love. 3 You are joined together with peace through the Spirit. Do all you can to continue as you are, letting peace hold you together. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, and God chose you to have one hope. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. 6 There is one God and Father of us all, who rules over everyone. He works through all of us and in all of us.”
