What's New at Grips for God?
At Grips for God, we’re excited to announce some updates and expansions to our program offerings! Our mission has always been to create a space where people can come together, challenge themselves, and build lasting friendships through the disciplines of martial arts and fitness.
What began as a men’s training and fellowship group has grown into a thriving community that now welcomes more people to experience our unique blend of physical fitness, martial arts, and Christian fellowship. With new classes and activities tailored to include women, families, and kids, we’re expanding our reach and strengthening our bonds.
We’re committed to fostering a space for everyone to grow stronger—both in body and in faith. Read on to see all the new things happening at Grips for God and discover how you can become part of this amazing community!


Grips for God has added new programs that welcome the ladies of the community!
We’re pleased to offer a Women’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Group tailored specifically for women’s training, fellowship, and camaraderie. More than just a fitness class, this group is a space where women can learn practical self-defense skills, improve physical strength, and form meaningful connections with others who share their values, interests, and faith.
Here, women can focus on learning and developing BJJ skills—whether they’re beginners or seasoned practitioners—building confidence in their abilities, and strengthening one another through shared experiences. We believe that training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu helps us foster resilience, discipline, and inner strength that translate into everyday life.
This new women’s group is a place for women to connect, laugh, and build lasting friendships, all while growing stronger together in mind, body, and spirit.
We’ve also made it easier for the entire family to get involved. Our Kids’ Karate classes focus on discipline, respect, and fun, giving young ones a chance to grow both mentally and physically. Parents can stay active, too, by participating in Family Yoga, where all ages are welcome to join a peaceful and engaging session that strengthens both the body and family bonds.


In addition to martial arts, we now offer activities for all interests. Explore our Weight Room, equipped with everything you need for strength training and conditioning, or take a walk along our beautiful Half-Mile Hiking Trail to enjoy some fresh air and time in nature. Those looking to test their focus and coordination can check out our Disc Golf Course, a great way to have fun and stay active!
Lord willing, we’ll soon be adding a Pickleball Court to our facility! Pickleball is a fantastic way to enjoy some friendly competition and stay fit, and we can’t wait to see it become a popular addition to our offerings.
